Hey! I’m Lauren!
I'm a boudoir photographer, and someone who knows firsthand what it feels like to see yourself differently through a camera lens.
Boudoir healed me before I ever picked up a camera. I had a hard time fitting in growing up. Confidence wasn't a word in my vocabulary, and I was deeply unkind to myself when I looked in the mirror. The moment everything shifted was in 2014 when I went to a boudoir shoot to support a friend. I was at a pretty low place in many aspects of my life and was never planning on stepping in front of the camera myself, but something compelled me to do it. The way that session made me feel, and then seeing myself in those photos, started to shift absolutely everything. I felt awake inside, I felt strong and powerful, and it started to rewire my confidence in so many other areas.
That's exactly why I built High Heals Photography (with heals spelled that way intentionally). I built this business from a place of deep understanding, and I know firsthand how powerful this experience can be. I'm not just here to take pretty photos. I'm here to help you feel fierce, unstoppable, and maybe even a little bit untamed.
My work is all about raw, electric energy. I photograph people in a way that invites them to see themselves differently, not through the lens of who they've been told to be, but through the truth of how they feel in their body and how they are celebrating themselves at this particular stage in their life. Boudoir is not about outside validation. It's about choosing yourself. It's about unlearning the idea that sensuality is something to be hidden, and instead, something that should be shouted from the rooftop.
People are too quiet about feeling sexy, and feeling sexy is feeling empowered. I want to help ignite that in you.
